One Lincoln Plaza - Chiller Upgrade

Working over two weekends, we installed new piping and 600-ton chillers in a luxury high-rise.

Value Delivered

EMCOR Services New York/New Jersey, Inc. provided complete turnkey installation of two 600-ton absorption chillers at One Lincoln Plaza, a mixed-use building housing ground-level retail, commercial tenants, and luxury condominiums.

We also retrofitted the building’s existing equipment, which was made for a complex rigging operation, and reconfigured large-diameter pipe. To save the client money, we provided value-engineering solutions for both rigging and piping trades.

Our ability to prefabricate a large portion of the new piping and set it in the mechanical equipment room, helped reduce labor hours. To accommodate the building’s new piping configuration, our design team specified the two chillers’ head connections.

Over two full weekends in the Lincoln Center area of Manhattan, we performed crane and rigging utilizing a rigging path through the existing 8th floor access doors. We completed our multi-phase rigging operation without interfering with the daily operations of this million-square-foot campus.
